Retro, but not nostalgic. Futurist, but not clichéd. Neo-classical, but cool. Exploisive innovation - if there is a keyword for Spring/Summer 2016, it's 'offbeat'. Emmanelle Alt tells that the designers are taking the art of the twist, to an whole other level; making grunge feminine and sexy, giving lingerie a rebel edge, taking sportswear sophisticated and vintage towards the avant-garde. The new Spring/Summer 2016 is all about satin, lamé, mesh and organza while finishes are sheer and high-shine. I picked out four of my favorite designers from this Spring/Summer 2016 collection and selected five winning looks of every designer. The top photo is definetely my fav, Balenciaga's designer Alexander Wang did his best for his last collection. It all looked really effortlessly chic, all in shades of soft ivory, with natural fabrics like linen, cotton and voile. I think he saved his best for last!
One thing that stands out the most is white, feminine looks with a lot of lace and satin. So I'm thinking that's the look I'm going for this summer! What about you? Tell me what's your favorite catwalk designer look?!?
Designers: starting with the top foto Balenciaga, followed by Alberta Ferreti, Ermanno Scervino and Givenchy.
